Name: The Doctor (Eleventh)
Fandom: Doctor Who
Age: 1,200 by HIS last count. He's admitted to being so old he "doesn't remember how old he is." Steven Moffat has said he's about "2,000." The fact is, not even the Doctor knows how old he is.
Canon Point: Post-Day of the Doctor
Original Universe or Alternate Universe? Original Universe
Personality:
The Eleventh incarnation of the Time Lord known as "The Doctor" is usually seen as a whimsical man who is very child like. He rambles on needlessly, thinking out loud, gets along with children, and is very expressive with his body posture. He was called "The Man Who Forgets" by the Moment. He also was a feared warrior in the eyes of many in the universe, even to the point where his feared enemies created the Pandorica to lock him away inside of it. It would also turn out that the Eleventh Doctor's entire history would be influenced by his past and his future. He would come face-to-face with his choices of the Time War and then be constantly fighting what would be his inevitable future.
Matt Smith has said that he believes the Doctor acts so silly because if he thought of what he had done he would "hang himself." The Eleventh Doctor is riddled with the guilt of an old man who has seen too much. He hunches over when he walks, frequently references how old he is ("these eyes are old"), refers to himself as old ("silly old Doctor") and carries regret with him. While it isn't shown if he hates what he has done his entire lives, he carries a deep set regret for the Time War, the consequences of Melody Pond/River Song's daughter, and to some extent what has happened with Clara Oswald. While he quickly bounces between moods to cover up his anger and guilt, the facade falls when he is alone (The Snowmen) or when he has traveled by himself for too long (A Town Called Mercy).
As stated, the Eleventh Doctor is childlike. The first few hours of regeneration are key, so it is possible that meeting the child Amelia Pond influenced this. He loves children and does whatever he can to make them smile again ("...don't interfere with people or planets. Unless there there are children crying"). Often he drops in to help children (Night Terrors) and set things right, thus showing it isn't always big scale planets that he helps. He carries around dolls in his pockets and usually wears a hat that he finds. He wears a bowtie and people trust him regardless of how silly it is, making it "cool." He dances with his hands thrown up, known as "The Drunk Giraffe."
The Doctor, as a Time Lord, is also incredibly intelligent. He knows several languages (alien, human, baby an even animals). He sees time in a way humans cannot comprehend, able to tell what is a fixed point in time and what isn't. He also travels with companions to help him see the universe as fun again, as he has been traveling for so long he can't always see it. To the Doctor, people are "the only mystery worth solving."
